Man United forward Marcus Rashford missed the weekend’s defeat to AFC Bournemouth due to illness, but is bang out of form the entire season so far.
“Rashford is not a kid anymore and he’s at an age where he should be coming into his peak years. He has to figure that out. It doesn’t matter what I’d say, or what the coaches say, he needs to be the one who comes up with the answers.
“Marcus has a lot of international experience and he’s been United’s top scorer in the past. Poor form is all part of the learning curve, but Marcus needs to man up, figure it out, and play at the level he knows he’s capable of.
“He has to step up. We can all give our opinions, but Marcus Rashford is the only one who can figure that stuff out.”
Rashford missed the weekend defeat to AFC Bournemouth through illness and is a doubt for Tuesday night’s Champions League tie against Bayern Munich after not being involved in training at Carrington.
Rashford was dropped for the victory over Chelsea but came on as a late second half substitute. The reaction from those in the stands was mixed at best with some boos heard but these were quickly drowned out by chants in support of him.
Dwight Yorke told MEN Sport the time for outside input had now passed. He explained: “I think Marcus Rashford needs to figure out the solution to his poor for him by himself.
