Man United & Arsenal are after Bologna’s star Joshua Zirkzee

Manchester United are already thinking about the future. The Red Devils are struggling in attack this season, with only 24 goals scored in the Premier League so far.

Marcus Rashford, Antony, Anthony Martial, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have all struggled to score goals this season, and that is causing concern at Old Trafford. With Gabriel Jesus strugging at Arsenal, Arteta is also trying is luck to get the young forward to the gunners.

Manchester United have started to look at targets for new strikers to improve their offensive department. One of them is Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

For his second season in Serie A, the Dutch striker has impressed. Joshua Zirkzee has already scored seven goals and provided two assists in 19 games.

Thiago Motta’s Bologna is having a very interesting season. The club is currently seventh, and is currently experiencing a slight results crisis, with three consecutive games without a win in Serie A, but remains fully in contention for a European Cup qualifying place.

Manchester United have made Joshua Zirkzee one of their targets for the upcoming summer transfer window. The Red Devils’ board have a high opinion of the 22-year-old striker, and have even tried to sign him for this winter.

Manchester United had talks with Bologna, but the Italian club turned them down. Joshua Zirkzee will not be leaving the club this winter.

However, the chances of the former Bayern Munich striker leaving in the summer transfer window are much higher. Joshua Zirkzee has a release clause of around £35m in his contract. However, Manchester United are unlikely to be the only club interested in the Bologna star, with Arsenal also reportedly interested.
